What is the LUGPA Annual Meeting?
The LUGPA Annual Meeting is the most important LUGPA event of the year. The purpose of this meeting is to provide educational and networking opportunities for attendees. Those invited are encouraged to exchange ideas, celebrate the accomplishments of urology over the past year, and connect with new people. The meeting is intended for urologists, advanced practice providers, administrators, managers, and healthcare industry supporters.
Attendees at LUGPA will enjoy presentations, working groups, workshops, exhibits, receptions, updates, forums, analysis, and breakout sessions focused on LUGPA and urology. It will take place at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.
LUGPA is the only nonprofit urology trade association in the US. They provide resources for their members to help them navigate the ever changing healthcare marketplace. It also aims to maintain and accelerate the independent practice of urology. LUGPA’s values are quality, collaboration, innovation, and integrity.

What to expect at LUGPA
The LUGPA Annual Meeting has three days of programming, including some CME credit opportunities. The first day, November 10, will contain information about practice management and current topics and research in urology. There will also be a variety of working groups to help practices, directors, coordinators, managers, staff, and researchers in their respective fields. The exhibit hall will be open from 12 – 5:15 pm.
November 11 will focus on LUGPA updates with presentations from people like Program Committee Chair Scott Sellinger, MD and LUGPA President Jonathan Henderson, MD. Much of this second day will provide regulatory and advocacy information. The exhibit hall will be open the entire day Friday. Be sure to stop by Lumea’s booth and others during breaks throughout the day for questions and discussions.
The meeting will end on Saturday, November 12, with a recap of the meeting and a session from the LUGPA Forward Committee. There will be many breakout sessions to choose from in the morning, as well as an “open-mic” session that you won’t want to miss. The final event will be the Keynote speech by James Carville, which promises to be energetic and fun.
